About The Position

Smalling Masonry, a specialty construction company focusing on Fireplaces and Chimneys, is seeking passionate and motivated apprentices to join their team. This apprenticeship program is designed to provide necessary training and education to become a skilled Journeyman technician, with the goal of moving into a Lead Position as early as 18 months. Apprentices will work alongside experienced technicians, gaining hands-on experience in all areas of fireplace and chimney needs, including gas service, building, flashing, inspections, and appliance installation/repair. The company emphasizes quality workmanship, ethics, and rewarding employees, offering a positive work environment with potential for growth.

Requirements

At least one year of basic construction experience (framing, roofing, brickwork, painting, gutters, plumbing, or appliance installation/repair).
Comfortable working outdoors, on roofs, and climbing ladders and scaffolds.
Valid driver's license with a clean three-year driving history.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
Customer service skills.

Self-starter who takes initiative and is not afraid to ask questions.
