Technician Apprentice
About The Position
This role is for a Technician Apprentice at DuraServ, focusing on the installation, service, and maintenance of commercial dock and door systems. The company is building an elite team of technicians who take pride in their craft, solve mechanical challenges, and want the autonomy to manage their work professionally. The mission involves installing commercial doors, docks, levelers, and related equipment with precision, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues (including emergency calls), taking full responsibility for the work from start to finish, communicating effectively with customers, and sharing best practices to maintain high standards.
Requirements
- Diagnose root causes and deliver lasting solutions.
- Manage your work, tools, and time effectively.
- Comfortable with new installs, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs.
- Professional and respectful conduct.
- Technical skill in installing, servicing, and repairing commercial dock and door systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional installations of commercial doors, docks, levelers, and related equipment.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, including emergency service calls.
- Take full responsibility for the work from first bolt to final walkthrough, ensuring safety, durability, and customer confidence.
- Communicate clearly with customers, explain issues and solutions, and deliver service documentation.
- Share best practices and mentor teammates to maintain an elite standard.
