About The Position

This is an apprenticeship program for a Diesel Engine Technician. As a full-time, paid employee, you will complete a development program with the support of coaching technicians and managers. Upon successful completion, you will receive an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Automotive & Diesel Technology and U.S. Department of Labor Trade Certificates for Diesel Engines. Cummins will cover the cost of your education, and the course credits are transferable towards a bachelor's degree.

Requirements

  • Passionate about working with your hands
  • Ability to work with small hand tools while maintaining overall safety
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum community college general education course requirement of 2.8 GPA High School (unweighted), or 22 ACT score, or GED with one year of college including Math and English with a minimum 2.8 GPA
