About The Position

Hydraulics International, Inc. (HII) is seeking Technicians/ Assemblers to perform mechanical assembly of components and products in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of assembly or manufacturing experience, be comfortable using basic hand and air tools, and be able to read and understand English work instructions and testing procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of assembly, mechanical assembly, or manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions, safety requirements, assembly procedures, and product testing processes.
  • Experience using basic hand tools, including: Open-end and combination wrenches, Ratchets and sockets, Screwdrivers, Pliers, Torque wrenches, Other standard assembly tools.
  • Ability to safely operate air/pneumatic tools.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify common hardware, fasteners, and components.
  • Ability to work from assembly instructions, drawings, or work orders.
  • Ability to perform repetitive assembly work while maintaining quality standards.
  • Ability to inspect completed work and identify basic assembly or workmanship issues.
  • Ability to follow established testing procedures and accurately complete required assembly and testing steps.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a production team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical components and finished products according to work instructions and production requirements.
  • Select and use the appropriate hand, power, and pneumatic tools for each assembly operation.
  • Install fasteners, fittings, hardware, and other components as required.
  • Read and follow assembly instructions and testing procedures written in English.
  • Perform basic functional or product testing according to established procedures.
  • Verify that parts and components are properly assembled before moving products to the next operation.
  • Report defective parts, assembly problems, or testing issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Meet production, quality, and safety expectations.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
  • Follow written and verbal directions from Leads, Supervisors, and Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
