Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience repairing designated heavy equipment, material handling equipment, or equipment in a related industry
  • Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Experience using precision instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators, and bore gauges
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Your own tools
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Flexibility to travel to customer sites and participate in an on-call schedule as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or trade school training is preferred
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of applicable equipment and operations
  • Certification on 65% of the designated product line
  • Technician certifications are preferred

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild heavy material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, drive axles, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting systems.
  • Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, major component repairs, and basic welding while following manufacturer specifications and Company safety procedures.
  • Deliver dependable service at customer locations and in the shop, maintain needed parts and supplies, and complete service documentation accurately and on time.
  • Protect our Safety First culture by following Company, DOT, OSHA, and other applicable requirements while completing ongoing technical training and supporting the broader service team.
