About The Position

InfiniSource Consulting Solutions (ICS), a 150+ employee government contractor specializing in Management Consulting, Information Technology, and Professional Services to the federal government, is seeking a Recent Technical Writer. ICS tailors its services to meet the specific needs of its civilian, defense, and private-industry sponsors. The corporate support processes are ISO 9001 certified, ensuring continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. The Technical Writer will support ICS business objectives and initiatives as defined by the Business Development team. This role requires a self-starter who understands or desires to learn the intricacies of doing business with the federal government. The Technical Writer will assist with writing, developing, and producing ICS business development materials, including marketing materials and proposals. The position is involved throughout the entire proposal process, from research and capture management to final production, with a primary emphasis on technical writing for proposals. The Technical Writer directly reports to the Director of Proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Administration, or English, Professional/Technical Writing etc.
  • Zero to Three (0-3) years of experience in Business Development and technical writing
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, -(grammar/spelling/punctuation)
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word (formatting and styles)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Team Player and accomplished “self-starter”
  • Must be able to work effectively under time constraints in a dynamic environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Attends Business Development meetings, maintains meeting minutes, proactively participates, and drafts meeting agendas.
  • Write initial drafts (technical writing) to Request for Information (RFI) Responses (approximately 5 pages each) and ensure responses are complete of requested information and submitted on time.
  • Updates Marketing Materials as required.
  • Attend, document, and transcribe Subject Matter Experts (SME) Introductions/debriefing meetings.
  • Read Solicitation and be prepared to discuss with the BD Team for strategy and solutioning.
  • Serve as the scribe for working group sessions and proposal meetings, recording status and action items, and distributing the information to the attendees in a timely manner following the meeting.
  • Assists in creating tables, charts, and graphics for inclusion within proposal.
  • Assists in creating action item templates. Transfer completed information to proposals.
  • Writes, reviews, edits, sections for technical proposals and assists in overall proposal production.
  • Participate in team reviews and edits.
  • Perform desktop publishing in MS Word, and other tools (i.e., Adobe Acrobat) to ensure documents are properly formatted, compliant with RFP requirements, easy to read, and visually appealing.
  • Adhere to style guide and reinforce that proposal team authors adhere to all such style guides
  • Other duties as assigned.
