About The Position

Write, edit, and manage technical documentation standards, processes, and requirements to include meeting minutes, scientific and engineering documents, business management, and proposals for the United States Air Force. Apply technical writing expertise to various DoD documentation projects. Works directly with government clients to ensure that requirements are met, and documentation is clear, concise, and understandable to its intended audience, present and future. Exercises quality control over documents intended for internal and external distribution and interpret and coordinate documentation and communication policies and procedures. Develops innovative solutions to complex problems. Handles classified information. Work will be exclusively on client site.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with writing, editing, and managing technical documentation for DoD and Air Force applications, missions, or initiatives
  • Experience with the DoD and Air Force Issuance Style Guide and AP, Chicago, APA, or MLA
  • Experience with DoD and Air Force records management
  • Knowledge of the handling, marking, and tracking of classified material
  • Ability to reduce or synthesize material into concise language
  • Ability to enforce quality standards for delivery, apply template formats, and track documents through a development process
  • Ability to work with minimal established standards to build a network of requirements, processes, and templates for a government client
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with working with government clients on a variety of taskers, working on short notice, or with tight deadlines
  • Experience with using Microsoft Office tools and applications, including Word, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to pivot onto a variety of tasks, with varying levels of effort
  • Ability to work with engineers and business professionals for a variety of documentation tasks
  • Top Secret clearance
