AWS Data Center Operations is seeking an innovative, customer-obsessed Technical Training Manager to own the development and implementation of a new Full-Time Training Team (FTT) in IAD for Data Center Operations. As the Technical Training Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical trainers to implement Data Center Operations initial training, maintain lab equipment, and ensure continuous improvement to the Data Center Operations training programs.

Requirements

• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• 3+ years of direct people management, including managing managers or senior individual contributors experience
• 5+ years of leading training, technical instruction, or maintenance operations programs at a regional or multi-site level experience
• 5+ years of demonstrating safety standards experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience in project, program or product management with focus on technical education programs
• Experience in curriculum development for international technical support organizations
• Experience in operations management

Nice To Haves

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or experience in project management
• Master's degree in Engineering, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
• Experience leading training organizations or programs at a national or network scale
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) strategy, governance, and reporting
• Experience with instructional design, curriculum architecture, or training program development
• Experience using data and metrics to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical trainers
• Manage the training programs for Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO), Data Center Operations (DCO), Infrastructure Delivery (ID), Decommissioning, and Logistics
• Implement standardized training processes that adapt to audience needs
• Create and track performance metrics for training effectiveness
• Establish communication channels between Full Time Training Team (FTT) and stakeholders
• Drive innovation through AI technology and agile methodologies
• Support the design comprehensive learning materials including exercises, tutorials, and assessments
• Measure and report training program impact
