About The Position

Emerson has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Training Instructor professional. Based in Marshalltown, IA, you will provide in-person factory-based training, at Impact Partner offices or customer sites. The Instructor will also be delivering trainings both virtually/remotely. In this role, the individual will update existing and develop new course materials following IACET guidelines and best practice adult learning theory. Relocation assistance is available for selected non-local candidates.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
Passion for learning and imparting knowledge to people with varied roles and experience levels
Previous experience with adult technical learning
Strong mechanical maintenance skills
Self-motivated and able to thrive in team and highly autonomous settings
Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability and willingness to travel in North America, up to 50%
Legal authorization to work in the United States

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Engineering or Industrial Technology
Experience with Fisher Division products is preferred
Some experience with Control Valve Engineering and FIELDVUE technology is ideal

Responsibilities

Conduct scheduled training sessions at Marshalltown campus, customer sites, sales representative offices, and regional training centers
Contribute and collaborate with partners on improving course curriculum, student materials, and hands-on workshops
Assist with the preparation of all necessary instructional materials and equipment for classes
Work closely with Division product teams to develop and maintain a high degree of technical expertise on assigned topics, product offerings, and related process control equipment
