Technical Training Instructor - Utility, Truck and Crane
About The Position
Ring Power Corporation is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to deliver instructor-led courses for both employees and customers. This role involves developing and updating technical training materials, maintaining training facilities and equipment, and traveling to deliver or attend training sessions. The instructor will also be responsible for updating training records, assisting field personnel with diagnostic issues when possible, and obtaining/maintaining necessary training credentials and certifications required by manufacturers. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication and presentation skills, and the ability to solve complex problems independently.
Requirements
- Formal Education: High School diploma or GED
- Experience: 5-6 years
- Able to easily and effectively comprehend written material and communicate orally and in writing with employees and customers.
- Computer skills, Microsoft power point, Excel and Windows based operating system.
- Communication and presentation skills, ability to deliver content effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Professional licensing in a related field (Master/License accredited through state.)
- Certification in related field.
- Applicable manufacturer’s factory training, technical training (electronic or diesel college, Think Big, CIAP), knowledge of NGEA (Next Generation Electrical Architecture), Tier 4 emissions, or air conditioning certification, MACS.
Responsibilities
- Performs instructor led courses for Ring Power employees and Ring Power customers.
- Develops and updates training materials on technical and industry specific subject matter.
- Ensures viable work space within classroom, electric and engine labs.
- Updates, maintains and repairs assets relating to instructor lead courses when necessary.
- Travels to deliver or attends instructor led training and conferences.
- Voluntarily participates in customer overseas training requests.
- Updates and maintains training records for Ring Power participants and customers in EDGE and applicable manufacturer database.
- Assists field personnel on diagnostic issues whenever possible at the request of the technical coordinator.
- Attends specific training courses or completes certifications and curriculum as required to deliver course content as an instructor.
- Attains and updates all training credentials required by manufacturer to maintain status as qualification for technical instructor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
