About The Position

Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking a Technical Training Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be full-time, 6 months in duration. In this role, you will support the APS Technical Training team in the development, administration, and continuous improvement of employee training programs for the Minnesota sites. The co-op will assist with training documentation, learning management system activities, training analytics, and project-based initiatives that enhance workforce capability, compliance, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, Interdisciplinary Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across functions.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in training, learning and development, workforce capability, and process improvement
  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June
  • Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op program

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation, revision, and organization of technical training materials, work instructions, and learning resources.
  • Assist with administration of training records and learning management system (LMS) activities, including enrollment tracking and reporting.
  • Analyze training data and metrics to identify completion trends, compliance gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Partner with trainers, subject matter experts, and operational teams to support onboarding, qualification, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on training effectiveness, knowledge management, and employee development.
