A Technical Trainer delivers instructor-led and interactive online training to educate and empower customers to successfully design, deploy and use Crestron technology. The role must stay current on assigned Crestron technologies to build subject matter expertise and collaborate closely with peers to provide constructive feedback on course materials and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field required
  • 2–4 years’ experience in audio, video and informational design/integration, rental & staging, or related industry
  • 1-3 years working with Crestron Systems
  • 0-2 years Technical Training experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible and responsive to critical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present technical information in an engaging and compelling manner
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply technical information
  • Passion for helping others learn and commitment to serving as a strong product advocate

Responsibilities

  • Deliver foundational technical training courses through Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Interactive Online Training (IOLT) formats.
  • Prepare training rooms, online learning environments, and related resources prior to the start of each class.
  • Develop exam questions and grade student assessments to measure learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with curriculum developers to ensure courses meet student learning needs.
  • Apply professional training techniques designed for adult learners to enhance course effectiveness.
  • Support Crestron seminars, trade shows, and Crestron Training Masters events.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
