Technical Trainer
About The Position
The Technical Trainer will play a pivotal role in enhancing the technical proficiency and knowledge of employees across the organization. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs that address complex technical concepts and practical applications. The trainer will ensure that all training materials are current, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals and industry standards. By leveraging various instructional methods and technologies, the trainer will facilitate effective learning experiences both in-person and through virtual platforms. Ultimately, this role aims to empower staff with the skills and confidence needed to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize the use of technology within their roles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical training or instructional design within a technology-driven environment.
- Strong proficiency with Learning Management Systems and video conferencing platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions during training.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver technical training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques including classroom, virtual, and hands-on training.
- Create and maintain detailed training documentation, manuals, and multimedia content to support learning objectives.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to schedule, track, and report on training activities and learner progress.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and up-to-date with current technologies and best practices.
- Provide technical troubleshooting support during training sessions and assist learners in resolving technical challenges.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage video conferencing tools to facilitate remote training sessions and ensure seamless communication.
- Maintain compliance with information assurance policies and ensure training materials adhere to security standards.
- Supports a culture where employees address unsafe conditions and behaviors, make suggestions for improvements, and actively participates in implementing solutions
- Identifies safety gaps and self-initiates corrective actions
- Strictly adheres to plant safety, housekeeping, and 5S efforts
- Understands, identifies, and corrects safety hazards
- Drives a culture which empowers employees to understand and embrace what they own
- Monitors and verifies activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials are coming in and out of the facility meet consumer safety and quality standards.
- Complies with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures
- Reports any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured products to the location’s Food Safety Team Leader and submits an appropriate incident report.
