About The Position

Amatriot is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Trainer to join our team based out of Chantilly, VA. This role involves designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive technical training and related materials to support customers and company employees. The trainer will instruct participants in various settings, ensure training materials are up-to-date with current features and best practices, and create documentation for data collection, inspection, and collaboration processes. Responsibilities also include providing daily status reports, establishing positive relationships with stakeholders, communicating effectively with diverse audiences, and working independently or in teams on software and systems-related tasks. The trainer will collaborate with customer teams to define training content and objectives, follow defined processes, and document any issues. After-hours and weekend support may be required for training tasks, and the role involves coordinating training schedules, logistics, and participant communications. Tracking training completion rates, maintaining records in learning management systems, and evaluating training effectiveness are also key duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, education, business administration or management information sciences. (Work experience and/or industry certifications demonstrating technical proficiency may be substituted for education requirements.)
  • 5 years of experience in Training and/or Information Technology.
  • Experience in delivering software applications training to end users on in a classroom, and/or one-on-one setting, and/or virtual or other equivalent teaching experience.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% domestic and internationally.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more technical certifications (Microsoft Certified Trainer, Microsoft Certified Educator, MS Endpoint Administrator, etc.) highly preferred.
  • Experience training end users on complex hardware and software solutions is highly preferred.
  • Experience delivering technical training via remote training tools such as MS Teams.
  • Experience with Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Design, Develop, organize, and deliver comprehensive technical training and related materials in support of customers and/or company employees.
  • Instruct participants in one-on-one, small group, large group, virtual, and ad hoc training sessions.
  • Ensure training materials reflect current CACMS features, updates, and best practices.
  • Create documentation for standardized data collection, inspection, and collaboration processes.
  • Provide daily status reporting to management and customers during training activities.
  • Complete and submit all reporting requirements in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with Posts, domestic offices, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Work independently and within small teams to support various software and systems-related tasks.
  • Work with customer teams and functional organizations to establish training content and objectives.
  • Ability to follow defined processes and document any issues/problems clearly.
  • Ensure training material reflects current product features.
  • After-hours and weekend support will be required as needed to support overseas or domestic training tasks.
  • Coordinate training schedules, logistics, and participant communications.
  • Track training completion rates and maintain accurate records in learning management systems.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics.
