About The Position

This is an entry-level position within our maintenance team, and we intend to train the candidate. The Associate will be exposed to high-pressure operating systems, including water, air, molten plastics, and VOCs. The Associate will be exposed to temperatures and atmospheric conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including excessively warm or cold temperatures. This position is a key role in the self-directed, teamwork-driven production environment. An individual in this position will need to be dedicated, responsible, highly motivated, safety and quality conscious, and driven to exceed productivity and cost targets. The associate bonus program is driven by efficiency, quality, and productivity.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate).
  • Previous mechanical experience is necessary.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write in English simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • General knowledge regarding basic safety, OSHA standards, and personal protective equipment is imperative.
  • Dedication, responsibility, high motivation, safety and quality consciousness, and drive to exceed productivity and cost targets.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Plastics Industry is preferred.
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement where associate demonstrates the necessary skills and capability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform job duties satisfactorily.
  • Work around mechanical machinery, electrical components, and operating equipment.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot a vast array of issues.
  • Use the company's intranet, as well as production and maintenance software.
  • Enter data as required.
  • Present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates.
  • Apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, division, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Interpret a wide variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Follow rules and guidelines to ensure freedom from the occurrence or risk of injury, danger, or loss.
  • Do their part to support the overall goal, which is to increase the profitability of the company and its associates.
