About The Position

StraitSys Inc is seeking a Technical Systems Analyst to support the FBI Intelligence Technology Section (ITS). The role involves providing expertise in IT Process Management to assist Operational Business Managers and ITS projects in achieving success. The analyst will support program managers in managing IT systems, represent the program in the PM's absence, research technical details, and provide systems engineering expertise. This includes oversight of application design, infrastructure, networks, requirements, cost, schedule, risk, quality, configuration, change control, communications, and security. The position requires reviewing technical documentation, applying Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts, evaluating new tools for efficiency improvements, guiding training teams, and assisting Program Managers with prioritizing user requirements and bug fixes. Support for access control functions related to ITS tools and systems is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Systems Engineering or IT Project Management Experience (at least one year of experience preferred).
  • IT infrastructure and Lifecycle Management experience with the FBI or equivalent Federal agency (one year of experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database design and search.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of workflow management and business process mapping.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to brief to Executive Management (EM).
  • Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience documenting SOPs and other technical support documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and interpret metrics from systems, reports, spreadsheets, and other data sets.
  • Ability to multi-task and compile information from multiple sources/locations and present in a singular format, both written and orally.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain a current Top Secret (TS) Clearance.
  • Must fluently speak, read, understand, and write the English language.
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Intelligence Community Agencies and processes, including the Intelligence Cycle (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Manager (PM) in managing assigned IT system(s) and represent the program for simple tasks if the PM is absent.
  • Research technical details, organizational interdependencies, and individual backgrounds, reporting findings to ETU OBMs.
  • Provide systems engineering expertise and technical oversight to ETU projects, covering application design, infrastructure, networks, requirements, cost, schedule, risk, quality, configuration and change control, communications, and security.
  • Review design and technical documentation to validate decisions or recommend alternative courses of action.
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts to monitor and provide status of individual projects.
  • Evaluate new tools as they are deployed to suggest improvements, requirements, or efficiencies.
  • Provide guidance and support to system training teams for end-users.
  • Assist Program Managers in prioritizing user requirements and bug/defect repair issues.
  • Support access control functions for ITS tools and systems as directed by the Government.
