Mission Technologies’ Global Security (GS) group comprises live, virtual, constructive (LVC) solutions; fleet sustainment; nuclear and environmental; and Australia business. HII Mission Technologies’ NITE (Naval Information Technology Enterprise) group is seeking a skilled and customer‑focused Technical Support Specialist to provide frontline technical assistance to end users supporting mission‑critical Navy and DoD operations. The ideal candidate is a problem solver with strong communication skills, a service‑oriented mindset, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, highly secure environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years related experience.
  • Candidate must have experience in military or civilian air traffic control, radio communications, or training range operations and maintenance.
  • Candidate must have basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver’s licence.
  • Candidate must submit to laser operations ocular examination as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidate must have extensive experience in one or more of the following areas: procurement, shipping and receiving, or inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly by radio with military aviators during combat training missions.
  • Monitor aircraft ordnance drops and electronically score for accuracy.
  • Obtain and record scoring information via computerized programs.
  • Ensure safe training environment through personnel access control.
  • Operate and maintain electronic scoring systems and other range target and simulator systems.
  • Perform maintenance on systems.
  • Complete and maintain Job Qualification Standards (JQS) within specified timeframes.
  • Driving pickup trucks and all-terrain vehicles or similar vehicles
  • Maintenance of targets and range assets
  • Facility access control and security system maintenance
  • Facility maintenance and housekeeping duties
  • Working to a flexible schedule due to mission requirements
  • Travel to support mission requirements
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
