About The Position

Under the supervision of the IT Manager, the Technical Support Specialist provides entry‑level to intermediate technical support for hardware, software, operating systems, and infrastructure equipment for firm personnel. This role supports a professional services environment and requires strong customer service, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an IT helpdesk, desktop support, or technical support role.
  • Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Active Directory user and computer management
  • Basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, printers)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and learn quickly.
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and professional with strong integrity and discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a legal or professional services environment is a plus.
  • Technical training or certifications a plus (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications).

Responsibilities

  • Respond to end‑user requests for technical support via phone, email, ticketing system, and in person.
  • Provide day‑to‑day support for Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365, and standard office productivity applications.
  • Support infrastructure and endpoint environments within an Active Directory and multi‑site network.
  • Build, configure, deploy, and maintain firm workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
  • Assist with user account management, onboarding, offboarding, and access changes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printing, and connectivity issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical users.
  • Document issues, resolutions, and procedures as required.
  • Participate in miscellaneous IT projects and initiatives as assigned.
