HP LaserJet - Technical Support Representative
About The Position
HP is seeking a LaserJet Field Support Technician to provide technical support to customers throughout Eastern Michigan, particularly in the Flint and Saginaw region. The role requires existing field technical support knowledge and skills with HP LaserJet and DesignJet printers. Experience repairing laptop and desktop PCs is a plus. The position handles assignments ranging from routine to complex that require technical problem resolution and independent judgment. The representative allocates their own time efficiently and receives general instructions on assigned work. The role includes local-account software service and post-sales or service-delivery support, as well as responding to service, product, technical, and customer-relations questions. Travel is required 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Minimum vocational diploma or associate degree in a technical field, or equivalent, and 3–5 years of experience in related fields; alternatively, a degree with no more than 2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and experience supporting HP LaserJet, DesignJet, and PC products.
- Thorough knowledge of the organization and its policies.
- Comprehensive business, technical, or functional knowledge.
- Basic project-management skills and communication and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers, peers, and support partners.
- Ability to perform under high-pressure situations.
- Ability to travel 50%.

Responsibilities
- Maintain high customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring they are met.
- Handle customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately, escalating issues according to established procedures.
- Provide software service, post-sales support, or service-delivery support for local accounts on standard systems.
- Respond to service, product, technical, and customer-relations questions.
- Support customers throughout Eastern Michigan with HP LaserJet and DesignJet printers.
