About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Technical Specialist with a focus on InfluxDB 3.0 Database Administration. The role involves installing, configuring, patching, and maintaining InfluxDB environments, including both on-premise and cloud deployments. You will be responsible for database backups, restoration, disaster recovery, performance tuning, and migration activities. This position requires a strong understanding of InfluxDB architecture, query languages, and related tools like Telegraf and Grafana.

Requirements

Any Graduate degree.
8+ years of experience.
Good knowledge of InfluxDB 3.0 Database Architecture.
Experience with InfluxDB installation using source code, RPM, and one-click installation.
Strong experience in handling Database Logical and Physical Backups.
Hands-on experience with restoration techniques and point-in-time recovery (PITR) on InfluxDB 3.0.
Expertise in applying database patches from lower to higher versions.
Experience with major and minor upgrade of InfluxDB 3.0 DBs on multiple platforms (dump/restore & upgrade).
Experience implementing InfluxDB 3.0 DR servers and load balancing.
Expertise in Streaming Replication (Including Cascading Replication).
Experience configuring InfluxDB 3.0 for connection pooling.
Experience configuring InfluxDB 3.0 for generating statistic reports from log files.
Experience handling Database corruption issues.
Experience with InfluxDB 3.0 Migration for multiple clients.
Strong knowledge of InfluxDB 3.0 configuration parameters for tuning DB health.
Experience managing Users and Tablespaces on InfluxDB 3.0 Servers.
Experience configuring Heterogeneous DB connections between InfluxDB 3.0 and others.
Expertise in Shell scripts for performing Online Backup and maintenance activity.
Strong experience in setting up InfluxDB 3.0 Cluster.
Strong experience in major and minor upgrade (InfluxDB 3.0).
Strong experience in Query Tuning and performance improvement.
Experience tuning parameter groups and configuring clusters for InfluxDB 3.0.
Experience configuring InfluxDB 3.0 Logs to push to S3 Bucket.
Experience reviewing performance Metrics and query tuning on InfluxDB 3.0.
Experience configuring Query Store and Analytics workspace on InfluxDB 3.0.
Familiarity with InfluxDB 3.0 key concepts: Measurements, tags, fields, Buckets, Retention policies, Continuous queries/tasks.
Familiarity with Telegraf (data ingestion agent).
Familiarity with Flux / InfluxQL query languages.
Familiarity with InfluxDB deployment types: OSS vs Enterprise vs Cloud.
Understanding of high-level architecture: ingestion → storage → query → visualization (Grafana, etc.).

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain InfluxDB 3.0 environments (OSS, Enterprise, Cloud) on-premise and in the cloud.
Perform InfluxDB 3.0 patch management and apply database patches.
Handle database logical and physical backups and perform restorations, including point-in-time recovery (PITR).
Execute major and minor upgrades of InfluxDB 3.0 databases across multiple platforms.
Implement InfluxDB 3.0 Disaster Recovery (DR) servers and configure load balancing.
Configure streaming replication, including cascading replication.
Set up InfluxDB 3.0 for connection pooling and generate statistic reports from log files.
Address and resolve database corruption issues.
Perform InfluxDB 3.0 migrations for clients.
Tune InfluxDB 3.0 configuration parameters for optimal health and performance.
Manage users and tablespaces on InfluxDB 3.0 servers.
Configure heterogeneous database connections between InfluxDB 3.0 and other databases.
Develop shell scripts for online backup and maintenance activities.
Set up and manage InfluxDB 3.0 clusters.
Perform query tuning and performance improvements.
Tune parameter groups and configure InfluxDB 3.0 clusters.
Configure InfluxDB 3.0 logs to be pushed to S3 Buckets.
Review performance metrics and tune queries on InfluxDB 3.0.
Configure Query Store and Analytics workspace on InfluxDB 3.0.
