About The Position

Anthropic is launching products at lightning speed, and Claude Code is its fastest-growing software product in history. To drive meaningful adoption breadth and depth in strategic customers, Anthropic is building a team of Technical Specialists. These specialists will deliver high-quality technical engagement and enablement to customers approximately 90 days before and after contract signature. The role primarily engages with customers post-sale, converting developer passion into org-wide adoption through tailored enablement focused on deep adoption of proprietary Claude capabilities. The role also involves engaging in strategic pilots pre-sale, partnering with Sales, Applied AI, and customer engineering leads to scope, enable, and instrument success criteria. This is not a technical implementation role; that work is handled by Implementation Specialists. Technical Specialists will spend their time engaging with developers, department leaders, and presenting at customer events and Anthropic builder summits. They will also build demo apps and reference implementations to showcase product capabilities. The ideal candidate is credible, knowledgeable about agentic AI, and can answer technical questions regarding security, scale, and agent behavior.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Architecture, sales engineering, developer relations, or technical consulting)
  • Build with Anthropic products (Claude Code, Claude Developer Platform, Cowork)
  • Ability to ship a working demo, steer an agent, and articulate product value
  • Ability to hold a room of engineers
  • Experience delivering technical talks, workshops, or training to engineering audiences
  • Meaningful time as a software engineer, founder, solutions engineer, developer advocate, or Solutions Architect
  • Shipped code that others have depended on
  • Experience supporting technical evaluations or pilots in an enterprise setting (scoping, enablement, handling security/admin/scale conversations)
  • Strong written and visual communication skills
  • Project management instincts to run multi-week activation plans or pilots
  • Willingness to travel regularly for on-site enablement, pilots, hackathons, and customer events
  • Some evenings and weekends around major events
  • Deep enthusiasm for AI with hands-on experience building with LLMs
  • Instinct for how AI technology should be used responsibly inside large organizations

Responsibilities

  • Drive end-user excitement inside enterprise accounts
  • Design and deliver customer-specific enablement programs (workshops, office hours, labs, curricula)
  • Drive deep adoption of proprietary Claude Code capabilities tailored to customer stacks and workflows
  • Enable and excite champions and AI Center of Excellence leads within customer organizations
  • Support strategic pilots with pre-sales technical enablement
  • Partner with Account Executives, Applied AI, and customer engineering leads on pilots
  • Carry pilot context into post-sale engagement for a seamless customer experience
  • Run hackathons and builder events to create lasting momentum
  • Design, scope, and run on-site and virtual hackathons
  • Partner with Anthropic Marketing and Events to amplify customer hackathon work
  • Build demos, content, and reference implementations
  • Create production-quality demo apps, reference architectures, and code samples
  • Create technical content (tutorials, blog posts, walkthroughs, cookbooks) tailored to enterprise developers
  • Translate new product capabilities into field-ready content quickly
  • Deliver keynotes, technical talks, and live-coded demos at customer events and summits
  • Run 'ask me anything' sessions with customer engineering organizations
  • Engage credibly on architecture, prompting, agent design, evaluation, developer workflow, and AI coding tool limitations
  • Represent Anthropic within customer engineering communities and the broader developer ecosystem
  • Partner closely with Sales, Applied AI, and Customer Success to sequence engagements
  • Bring back signal from the field regarding enterprise developer needs and challenges
  • Contribute to the team's playbook by capturing and sharing successful strategies
