This position is responsible for performing duties required in the commissioning, inspection, maintenance and repair of distribution protective, regulatory, switching and communication systems associated with the grid infrastructure. The role involves executing power quality initiatives, implementing and maintaining a predictive maintenance approach, and providing support for capital improvement projects. It also includes executing a condition-based maintenance program for all distribution equipment and performing equipment maintenance cycles based on manufacturers’ recommendations and industry best practices. The technician will conduct equipment inspections, collect fluid quality oil samples, perform dissolved gas analysis, and conduct specialized equipment testing. Additionally, the position provides technical support to grid modernization initiatives, follows commissioning and testing protocols for feeder automation and self-healing networks, and carries out programs to achieve long-range goals supporting the Cooperative’s Strategic Plan. The role requires managing duties within financial goals, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and following corporate and departmental policies.
