If your goals and values align with Honda’s, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future! Job Purpose Emergency support - Machining parts for production fixtures and equipment related issues. (Determine as needed fits, finishes and equipment functionality). Welding/fabricate as needed. Cad Cam usage for programming of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) equipment, which includes lathes, mills, plasma, and grinders. Advanced tasks include design of fixtures for New Model using drawing softwares (Computer aided three-dimensional interactive application software). Communicate daily activities for presentation at shift meeting, acquire proper tooling and material to perform machining process, interpret drawings or instructions to machine parts. Assist others in setups and problem solving when asked. Wear proper safety items. Clean-up equipment and work area at the end of your shift.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Technical school/+2 years of Machining and/or Tool & Die is preferred
  • Position supports shutdowns and weekend overtime as needed.
  • May need to adjust shifts or hours as needed for support.
  • Requires machining support. Examples - Emergency Work Orders, overtime, weekends, shutdowns, etc
  • Must be willing to work daily overtime/weekends/rotating shifts/and holidays as needed
  • Must me able to stand on concrete floors for 8 to 10 hours per day
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs repetitively

Responsibilities

  • Emergency repair - Maintenance machining in support of equipment breakdowns, safety, and quality issues .
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Be able to work from verbal instructions and rough sketches.
  • Conceive ideas and produce parts to solve production problems.
  • Setup and operate manual machining equipment.
  • Setup, program and operate CNC machining equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance on shop equipment.
  • Inspection of own parts to assure accurate completion to drawings.
  • Make spare parts for MRO/Department stock
