About The Position

Garratt-Callahan, a profitable and private nationwide water treatment chemical company, is expanding and seeking aggressive, smart, educated, and promotable Technical Sales Territory Managers. This role involves selling boiler and cooling tower industrial water treatment chemicals with unlimited commission potential. The position is based out of your home in the greater Raleigh Durham area and is for an established territory with a sizeable book of business. Customers include those in Healthcare, Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Data Center, Commercial & Institutional, and Wastewater sectors. Responsibilities include running chemical tests, documenting results, and interacting with and fixing mechanical equipment like pumps, tubing, piping, and valves, as well as programming electronic equipment such as cooling tower chemical controllers. Military and mechanical backgrounds are helpful.

Requirements

• At least a four year technical degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology or Mechanical Engineering).
• A minimum of 3 years technical sales related to water treatment chemicals.
• Military and mechanical backgrounds are helpful.
• Selling to a variety of industrial customers is preferred.
• CWT is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Chicago industrial marketplace is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degrees preferred.
• Military equivalent, such as Navy Nuclear Propulsion, or Army CBRN School, is also great.

Responsibilities

• Sell boiler and cooling tower industrial water treatment chemicals.
• Maintain the existing customer base.
• Make cold calls to develop new business.
• Run chemical tests to analyze water and document results.
• Interact and fix mechanical equipment such as pumps, tubing, piping and valves.
• Program electronic equipment such as cooling tower chemical controllers.
