About The Position

Garratt-Callahan, a profitable and private nationwide water treatment chemical company, is expanding and seeking aggressive, smart, educated, and promotable Technical Sales Territory Managers. This role involves selling boiler and cooling tower industrial water treatment chemicals with unlimited commission potential. The position is home-based within the greater Bowling Green, Kentucky area. The company offers training, technical support, and an unlimited, no-cap flat rate commission. This is an established territory with a significant existing customer base across various industries including Data Centers, Healthcare, Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Commercial & Institutional, and Wastewater. Responsibilities include maintaining existing customers, cold calling to develop new business, running chemical tests to analyze water, documenting results, and interacting with and fixing mechanical equipment such as pumps, tubing, piping, and valves, as well as programming electronic equipment like cooling tower chemical controllers. Military and mechanical backgrounds are considered helpful.

Requirements

  • A four-year technical degree (e.g., Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, or Mechanical Engineering). Advanced degrees are preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience related to water treatment chemicals.
  • Ability to succeed in a sales role with unlimited commission potential.
  • Must live anywhere within the Bowling Green, or Western Kentucky area. Consideration will also be given to candidates near Louisville.

  • Advanced technical degrees.

  • Knowledge of the Kentucky industrial marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Sell boiler and cooling tower industrial water treatment chemicals.
  • Maintain the existing customer base.
  • Make cold calls to develop new business.
  • Run chemical tests to analyze water and document results.
  • Interact with and fix mechanical equipment such as pumps, tubing, piping and valves.
  • Program electronic equipment such as cooling tower chemical controllers.
