About The Position

The Positive Drive team is seeking a Technical Sales Support Specialist to serve as a high-level technical resource dedicated to optimizing conveyor performance. This role focuses on providing specialized sales support with a heavy emphasis on supporting customers through retrofits, conveyor design, and solving intricate technical application issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, product support, or industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or other CAD software.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite and familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) for managing technical case queues.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% for customer site visits, on-site troubleshooting, and technical project support.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and translate them into functional conveyor solutions.
  • Focused on identifying the best conveyor configurations to solve specific end-user challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical training.
  • Excellent customer care skills, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered a “nice-to-have” to support the entire Americas region.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs, specifically for new conveyor layouts and retrofitting existing systems.
  • Utilize technical expertise to solve complex application issues and demonstrate how our conveyor solutions suit customer requirements better than competing products.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical presentations to internal and external customers explaining the compatibility and features of various conveyor platforms.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer inquiries via phone or email, ensuring high-level support for technical specifications.
  • Partner with commercial teams during strategic account conversions by providing the technical validation needed to displace incumbent systems.
