Technical Sales Representative – Florida Territory Location: Florida (Must reside within territory) — Field-Based Role with Travel What is HK Research? What You’ll Do as a Technical Sales Representative: As a Technical Sales Representative for HK Research, you will support customers throughout the Florida territory by combining technical product knowledge with consultative sales support. This role focuses on helping customers select, optimize, and troubleshoot resin solutions for their specific applications. You will work closely with Sales, Technical Service, Product Management, and R&D to ensure customers receive the right products and technical support to succeed. This role blends relationship-building, field-based customer engagement, and technical problem solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Materials Science, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 1–5+ years of experience in technical sales, product support, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in composites, polyester resins, coatings, polymers, or specialty chemicals strongly preferred.
  • Strong technical curiosity and willingness to learn resin chemistry and applications.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role while collaborating with internal teams.
  • Must reside within the Florida territory.
  • Ability to travel 40–60% within the territory to support customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow customer accounts across the Florida territory.
  • Provide technical product support, troubleshooting, and application recommendations for polyester resin systems.
  • Conduct customer site visits, product trials, and application support to ensure optimal product performance.
  • Collaborate with Technical Service and R&D teams on product testing, qualification, and performance improvements.
  • Identify new business opportunities and growth areas within the territory.
  • Maintain accurate CRM activity tracking and sales pipeline visibility.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to help guide sales strategy.
  • Support pricing discussions, product recommendations, and commercial planning.
  • Represent HK Research and IP Corporation at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
  • Serve as a trusted technical partner and advocate for customers within the organization.
