The Technical Sales Representative acts as a bridge between technical knowledge and business expertise, skillfully conveying the value of products, services, or solutions to potential customers. He exerts a significant influence on industrial customers by understanding their needs, tailoring solutions and providing expert advice. They drive business growth by effectively translating technical capabilities into customer-centric solutions.

Requirements

  • DEC in Engineering Technologies or Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software (Intermediate)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate)
  • Social Media Platforms (Intermediate)
  • Pump knowledge and good maintenance practices
  • Knowledge of the heavy industry market in Eastern Canada
  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial sales in a B2B environment

Responsibilities

  • Leverage the understanding of industries and industrial processes to influence a market penetration strategy.
  • Elevate the level of technical competence of the sales team by providing in-depth knowledge of products and solutions. This includes educating team members on the technical aspects of our offerings, enabling them to better communicate value to customers.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to educate customers on the positive impacts our products, services, and solutions can have on their operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform in-depth analysis to identify customer pain points, challenges, and efficiency goals. Translate this information into tailor-made solutions that meet the specific needs of the client.
  • Presenting our engineering solutions with confidence, showcasing the value our products and services bring to customer operations. Effectively communicate the return on investment and long-term benefits of our products, services, and solutions.
  • Provide pre-sales advisory support, answer technical questions, conduct product demonstrations, and guide customers to suitable solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations. Understand their business goals and provide ongoing support and solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress in CRM systems.
  • Play a pivotal role in achieving and exceeding sales targets, contributing significantly to revenue growth.
  • Influence market penetration strategies and bring technical knowledge that drives sales growth in the industry.
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education and then provide after-sales support services as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of sales materials and promotional materials for new sales solutions.
  • Make compelling and informative presentations to customers, clearly stating the technical aspects of our products and solutions, including their benefits, the implementation process, and integration requirements.
  • Achieve individual and team sales goals through the use of customer-centric engagement strategies.
  • Brainstorm and write original content to seduce, engage and convert current and potential customers.
