About The Position

Huntsman is seeking an Elastomers Technical Sales Representative supporting the Huntsman International LLC Division located in Auburn Hills, MI. In summary, as the Elastomers Technical Sales Representative, you will: Be accountable for growing profitable sales in the polyurethane industry via the full sales process (identification, qualification, quote, close, development, and growth). Achieve sales targets for existing and new business. Lead and drive account plans, budgets, and forecasts to deliver agreed strategic objectives of value and profit for the territory. Utilize C4C sales tools for timely call reports and lead tracking. Negotiate and manage pricing and contractual agreements with prospective and existing customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, buyers, and decision-makers at customer sites. Establish a high standard of market intelligence for the elastomers market in the region. Prepare and deliver sales presentations to upper management at customer sites and to internal commercial and technical groups. Coordinate with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Technical team members. Provide Technical Service Support, including product recommendations and issue resolution. Prepare project plans for product development, modifications, and technical service. Act as a technical liaison between customers and the Technology & Innovation team. Conduct laboratory work related to product and application development, technical service, and formulation development. Complete well-written reports with rigorous data analysis. Fully comply with safety, health, and environment (EHS) guidelines.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.
  • Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of account management or technical sales experience in the polyurethane industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional technical experience in product and application development and/or technical service in specialty polyurethane elastomers and polyurethane processing equipment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with engineers, buyers, and decision-makers.
  • Market intelligence and competitor analysis.
  • Sales presentations to upper management and internal teams.
  • Pricing and contractual agreement negotiation.
  • Technical service support and problem resolution.
  • Project planning and technical liaison capabilities.
  • Laboratory work, formulation development, and data analysis.
  • Compliance with safety, health, and environmental guidelines.
