About The Position

The Technical Sales Representative (TSR) is the primary contact for customer accounts in the Food and Retail division. The TSR typically works with national accounts and other strategically important clients with a focus on growing revenue. This role involves working closely with other commercial team members to develop deep relationships with key stakeholders and identify business opportunities to sell new products. The TSR is responsible for driving retention and growth among the most valuable customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed. The role requires detailed knowledge of Plastic Ingenuity's products and services, ensuring that Plastic Ingenuity consistently meets and exceeds customer needs. The role requires traveling to customer sites, often on short notice.

Requirements

  • A strong technical background to understand the thermoforming process and its capabilities.
  • Must demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Managing customer accounts and overseeing new projects as the primary customer contact
  • Maintaining a robust sales pipeline by identifying and converting new opportunities
  • Defending existing revenue and profits streams
  • Responding to and resolving customer issues related to PI's products
  • Planning, scheduling, and executing customer projects
  • Executing ABM campaigns with assistance from the marketing team
  • Representing PI at trade shows and conferences
