We are seeking an experienced Technical Sales Representative who can leverage a robust industry network and technical acumen to grow our presence in target markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record selling steel fabrication and precision power systems to offshore oil & gas, subsea, refinery, petrochemical, and renewable energy customers. You will own the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and solution scoping to contract closure and post-sales support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience in the steel fabrication industry (industrial fabrication, offshore structures, or related sectors preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of steel fabrication processes, fabrication standards, and power systems used for offshore, subsea, refinery, petrochemical, and renewable energy projects.
  • Proven track record of developing and closing complex sales with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder buy-in.
  • Strong network within target industries or demonstrated ability to rapidly build one.
  • Proficiency with MS Office; Salesforce experience required.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills; strong consultative sales approach.
  • Ability to travel as needed (domestic and international) and to participate in trade shows and networking events.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, time management, and the ability to work in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline across target industries (offshore/O&G, subsea, refinery, petrochemical, renewables) with a focus on steel fabrication and precision power systems.
  • Qualify opportunities, conduct technical discovery, present compelling solutions, and tailor proposals to client needs.
  • Build and maintain a robust network of contacts (procurement, engineering, operations, and leadership) to drive opportunities and ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Lead technical conversations, RFP responses, cost estimates, value engineering, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to develop quotes, schedules, and commercialization plans.
  • Navigate complex contracting processes, including terms, warranties, safety, and compliance considerations.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and client visits; proactively identify networking opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce) and provide accurate forecasting, dashboards, and reporting.
  • Travel as required to meet clients, visit fabrication facilities, and attend industry events; travel frequency will align with territory and pipeline needs.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory considerations to inform strategy and messaging.
