About The Position

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking a skilled Technical Sales - Material Handling Specialist for the Southeast Region. This role involves driving material handling sales, building relationships with key accounts, OEMs, and EPC customers, and identifying new business opportunities. The specialist will collaborate with internal teams to increase product awareness and positioning, support product management, and engage in industry events. The position requires a strong understanding of material handling applications and a customer-focused mindset.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a Business degree with strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proven ability to drive sales, develop strategic partnerships, and grow key accounts.
  • Strong understanding of material handling applications and industry trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with internal teams and external partners.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to assess situations, make informed decisions, and drive results.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to Martin’s commitment to excellence.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required for customer engagement and industry events.
  • Ability to report daily to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

  • Drive Material Handling Sales with Key Accounts, OEM, and EPC customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Strategic Accounts to secure Martin Material Handling product specifications.
  • Collaborate with Martin Field Sales, Marketing, and regional operations to increase awareness of Strategic Accounts’ preferred OEMs.
  • Identify and drive Material Handling CAPEX opportunities with strategic accounts and direct sales.
  • Work with OEM/EPC customers to secure "First Fit" specification opportunities, positioning MSG products for long-term aftermarket success.
  • Develop new business opportunities and expand product offerings within the OEM/EPC customer base.
  • Partner with Martin Product Management to identify and capitalize on product and application growth opportunities.
  • Engage in industry discussions, product training, and sales presentations at internal, regional, and national events.
  • Contribute to the Martin Material Handling Specialist Team by sharing insights and strategies for key account management.
