Focuses on providing exceptional customer service and identification of ways to leverage all capabilities to solve customer problems. Serves as the primary customer interface and manager for customer development programs from initiation through execution and facilitates relationship between the customer, R&D, and MFG site location, including coordinating project meetings, customer visits, and activities. Leverages technical competency and skills to ensure smooth, on time, and on budget project completion. Serves as a technical expert by helping to facilitate technical concurrence and uses technical knowledge to identify opportunities to leverage all capabilities in order to increase the value proposition. Regularly attends product development meetings and responds to all business inquiries such as scope changes, additional RFQ’s, and relationship management throughout the product development cycle. Supports sales in proposal development and management on new opportunities. Provides program updates to the appropriate internal functions (Account Manager, Director of Operations, Product Development and Engineering, etc.). Works with Project Managers to manage and communicate pipeline milestones to maintain visibility of program deliverables both internally and externally. Coordinates inputs from sales and marketing to support project deliverables. Serves as a technical expert and supports sales by attending new product opportunity discussions and capabilities presentations. Provides program management and goal attainment for new projects and extensions in contract business. Owns and executes all customer-driven Quality Agreements by liaising with the quality team to ensure a successfully negotiated Quality Agreement. Supports marketing by identifying technical capabilities that support development of product roadmaps, marketing business plans, and market analysis for strategic initiatives. Regularly attends trade shows, conferences, and industry meetings to increase technical presence, and further establish relationships. Enhances technical knowledge and applications engineering skills through technical field contacts, professional organizations, scientific/engineering publications, and Integer technical resources. Supports Account Manager in resolution of contract, forecast, demand, quality or other customer issues as required. May be called upon to be primary manager of assigned issues. Adheres to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements. Performs other functions as required. Sales Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with account management teams to execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets. Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine go-to-market strategies. Client Engagement: Lead technical discussions with clients to understand their needs and propose tailored solutions. Deliver compelling product demonstrations and presentations. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts. Team Leadership: Mentor and guide customer facing Integer associates as appropriate. Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and support. Technical Expertise: Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies. Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions. Provide feedback to product development teams based on client interactions. Performance & Reporting: Track sales metrics and report on pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue forecasts. Use CRM tools to manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience interfacing with customers and providing technical support.
  • 7+ years of experience in technical sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Self-directed, ability to work without day-to-day supervision, high sense of personal accountability and deadline/results oriented.
  • Good basic selling skills, persuasive skills and business acumen.
  • Comfortable with conflict and ambiguity.
  • Excellent personal time management.
  • Strong process management orientation and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of metal machining and fabrication technologies for components used in Medical Devices and associated technologies.
  • Knowledge in account development, territory development, prospecting, sales call, sales strategy, pipeline management.
  • Previous experience working with customer project teams and working on cross functional teams.
  • Requirement of 15-20% US domestic and international travel.
