About The Position
Nexgen Tooling is a leading manufacturer of high-performance cutting tools, specialising in tight-tolerance carbide tools for a diverse range of industries. Founded in 2016, we are dedicated to providing exceptional quality, consistency, and responsive customer support. Our advanced tooling solutions are engineered to optimise performance and extend tool life, making us a trusted partner for manufacturers seeking efficiency and precision. We are currently seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Technical Sales Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote role will be based in Orlando, Florida, United States, and will be pivotal in driving our growth and supporting our client base in the region. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to provide outstanding service and tooling solutions to our customers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical sales, field applications, or engineering role, preferably within the cutting tool or CNC machining industry.
- A strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and the application of carbide cutting tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients at all levels.
- A results-oriented mindset with a demonstrable track record of achieving sales targets.
- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a remote role.
- Must be based in or near Orlando, Florida, and hold a valid driving licence for travel to client sites.
Nice To Haves
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective sales strategy to drive business growth within the assigned territory.
- Identify and engage with prospective clients in the manufacturing and engineering sectors to generate new leads and business opportunities.
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for clients, offering expert guidance on the selection and application of our high-performance cutting tools.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the value and performance of Nexgen Tooling solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and repeat business.
- Prepare and deliver accurate quotations, proposals, and sales contracts in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with our internal engineering team to address complex customer requirements and develop custom tooling solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify new opportunities and challenges.
