About The Position

Stannah is a family-owned manufacturing and engineering company founded in 1867, now in its fifth generation. They specialize in products that move people and goods, including stairlifts, lifts, escalators, and homelifts, along with maintenance and repair services. Stannah's New Lift Division is expanding and is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join their team in East Anglia. This role is suitable for individuals already in lift sales or engineers looking to transition into a commercial position. It's a home-based role requiring regular travel across East Anglia. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling Stannah's machinery directive Lift range, building customer relationships, identifying opportunities, and providing technical advice to maximize market presence. The company is looking for a results-driven individual passionate about customer service and knowledgeable in the New lift market. While previous sales experience is ideal, engineers with technical expertise are also encouraged to apply. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the division's ambitious growth objectives.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working within a lift industry job, ideally in a sales capacity.
  • Proven sales experience
  • Relevant professional or technical qualification or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual targeted sales, average selling prices and conversion ratios
  • Monitor and report on progress, identifying and acting upon issues and concerns that arise.
  • Formulate and exercise strategies for optimising sales
  • Assess the needs of the client through good questioning techniques
  • Provide quotations that are accurate and ensure leads and quotes are followed up
  • Identify, visit and build relationships with prospects and repeat customers
  • Carry out site visits where required.
