About The Position

Sungrow is seeking a Technical Sales Coordinator ESS to help shape tailored battery energy storage solutions for customers across the DACH region. This role involves leading high-quality technical advisory activities for ESS pre-sales opportunities and customized BESS solution proposals. The coordinator will manage technical interfaces across electrical, mechanical, civil, and control-system disciplines throughout project development, assess project feasibility, and review ESS designs to identify practical technical improvements. Additionally, the role includes preparing technical specifications, managing tender processes, supplier negotiations, and supporting due diligence and financial-close processes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent qualification, ideally with an electrical engineering focus.
Hands-on experience with BESS technologies, ideally gained in Germany and other European or international markets.
Strong knowledge of established and emerging energy storage technologies, solutions and market developments.
Experience providing technical advisory support to investors, project developers or other stakeholders.
Experience contributing to the development or delivery of international ESS or hybrid renewable-energy projects.
Ability to communicate confidently with clients, utilities, EPC partners, balance-of-plant providers and other project stakeholders.
Familiarity with ESS technical specifications, European regulations and relevant IEC and IEEE standards.
German and English language skills at C1 level.

Responsibilities

Lead high-quality technical advisory activities for ESS pre-sales opportunities and customised BESS solution proposals.
Coordinate technical interfaces across electrical, mechanical, civil and control-system disciplines throughout project development.
Assess technical and economic project feasibility, including integration with renewable generation assets and electrical plants.
Review conceptual and detailed ESS designs, identifying practical technical improvements for customer projects.
Prepare and manage technical specifications, tender processes, supplier negotiations and battery storage plant selection.
Support due diligence activities, financial-close processes and technical discussions with customers, lenders, legal advisors and financial advisors.
