About The Position

Koppert Biological Systems is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant (TSC) to join their expanding agriculture team in the Pacific Northwest. This role involves representing Koppert's innovative portfolio of biological solutions, including beneficial insects, microbial products, and pollinators, to make agriculture healthier, safer, and more productive. The TSC will be responsible for territory development, sales, and service, working in partnership with growers to implement sustainable practices. Candidates must reside in the Pacific Northwest and be able to travel throughout the territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related field is preferred; or equivalent experience in agriculture.
  • 3 or more years of experience working in agriculture as a grower or consultant required.
  • Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy and travel as needed for business purposes (approximately 50% travel).
  • Work remotely out of home office, hotel, and company vehicle.
  • Frequent amount of commercial travel to visit customers, trade shows, and company meetings.
  • Regular exposure to field and weather conditions in agriculture crops in the PNW region.
  • Regular exposure to bumble bees and other insects.
  • Ability to regularly sit for long periods of time during travel.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time on field visits.
  • Ability to travel (air and ground).
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments from customer visits and fast-paced activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide growers with sustainable practices including crop protection and natural pollinators utilizing Koppert’s comprehensive portfolio of natural products.
  • Cultivate and maintain markets in the outdoor crops by visiting customers, attending trade shows, networking, and lead generation.
  • Support and develop customer relationships to gain a deep understanding of grower needs and agronomic strategies for the territory.
  • Expand grower’s success in crop protection by developing and implementing personalized integrated pest management (IPM) and pollination strategies in agricultural crops.
  • Achieve sales targets and manage accurate forecasting in designated territory.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities in agriculture crops.
  • Expand market portfolio by utilizing all Koppert resources to turn prospects into customers.
  • Participate in the development and launch of upcoming Koppert portfolio innovations.
