About The Position

Join our dynamic team as a Technical Risk Analyst working in T&O’s Supplier Management Office (SMO). You will be contributing to T&O’s third-party due diligence within RBC’s SRMA (Supplier Risk Management Application) system equipping the business and our partners with meaningful insights and actionable advice on their third-party engagements. This role is essential in supporting our third-party engagements within T&O. As a result of the work performed, you will contribute to the holistic third party management practices and T&O's risk posture, a critical aspect of our portfolio. Your expertise will be crucial in driving change and overall improvement across the T&O organization’s approach to their SRMAs. The position will offer opportunities to work across the T&O SMO and our businesses, and make a significant impact to our overall portfolio.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in risk management or supplier management
• Strong understanding of technology and automation tools to apply to existing processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
• Strong understanding of technology from a software, cloud, telecom or cyber security perspective
• 5+ years in the financial services or other regulated industries
• Strong business and financial acumen plus operational mindset
• Demonstrated ability collaborate across multiple business and functional teams.
• Strong client focus and relationship building capabilities

Nice To Haves

• Some knowledge of technology and automation tools
• Formal supplier management certifications/designations
• Experience dealing with complex and sensitive policy, regulatory and compliance management matters

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and execute on the T&O-wide strategy to support the requirements for our T&O arrangements aligned to Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) that allow for an integrated approach to governance, management processes and tools.
• Contribute to the third-party engagement risk management, governance and reporting across T&O, in accordance with the Enterprise Policy on Third Party and Intra-Group Service Providers.
• Contribute to the strategic direction and thought leadership for the discipline of supplier engagement risk management across T&O to drive improved risk management and remediation to ensure T&O maintains the appropriate risk posture.
• Drive automation and enhancements in the existing processes to make them more effective and efficient.
• Ensure the effective management & implementation of the appropriate controls for all T&O risk assessments, aligned to TPRM policies and standards through third party engagement assessment assurance, performance management assurance, exit strategy assurance, and contract assurance.
• Use knowledge of technology (software, hardware, telecom or cyber security) to drive the right conversations with the engagement owners and technology teams to ensure compliance with the Third Party Risk (TPR) policies and standards and OSFI B10 guidelines.
• Utilize all available tools (e.g. RBC Assist, approved AI channels) to streamline information gathering and summarizing activities as well as investigating supplier adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Interact daily across businesses on the full range of third party engagements related to compliance, multi discipline service quality, and/or transformational change (processes and technologies).
