About The Position

The OCFA Technical Rescue Truck (TRT) Program is seeking to expand its list of qualified part-time Technical Rescue Truck Technicians to support TRT staffing needs. This role involves participation in rigorous physical and mentally challenging field operations across multiple technical rescue disciplines. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list valid for one year. The OCFA will provide necessary TRT training if required. Once qualified, technicians will be eligible for backfill opportunities on technical rescue trucks and potential administrative assignments.

Requirements

• Must be a current OCFA career Operations Section Firefighter.
• Probationary Firefighters may apply and participate in the selection process but MUST be off probation to be placed into a part-time position.
