Technical Recruiter

Flock Safety
1d$120,000 - $145,000Hybrid

About The Position

Flock Safety is the leading safety technology platform, helping communities thrive by taking a proactive approach to crime prevention and security. Our hardware and software suite connects cities, law enforcement, businesses, schools, and neighborhoods in a nationwide public-private safety network. Trusted by over 5,000 communities, 4,500 law enforcement agencies, and 1,000 businesses, Flock delivers real-time intelligence while prioritizing privacy and responsible innovation. We’re a high-performance, low-ego team driven by urgency, collaboration, and bold thinking. Working at Flock means tackling big challenges, moving fast, and continuously improving. It’s intense but deeply rewarding for those who want to make an impact. With nearly $700M in venture funding and a $7.5B valuation, we’re scaling intentionally and seeking top talent to help build the impossible. If you value teamwork, ownership, and solving tough problems, Flock could be the place for you. We aren’t looking for an order taker. We are looking for a high-agency recruiter who understands that recruiting is a consulting role. In this role, you’ll own outcomes not just requisitions. You’ll deeply understand the business, influence hiring decisions, and connect your work directly to quality of hire, team performance, and company growth. You’ll be trusted to raise the bar, challenge assumptions, and help leaders hire better than they thought possible. You should expect to manage 5-12 requisitions at any given time and consistently make 3-4 hires a month, depending on the complexity of the roles assigned. This is a role for someone who wants real ownership from how roles are scoped, to how candidates are assessed, to how new hires ramp and succeed in their first 90 days. At Flock, recruiting doesn’t stop at the offer. You’ll stay connected through preboarding and early tenure to ensure new hires are set up for success and that what we sell during the hiring process matches the reality of the role. This feedback loop is critical to how we improve quality of hire, manager effectiveness, and long-term team performance.

Requirements

  • Experience hiring engineering talent at technology companies
  • A track record of building—whether that’s new teams, new processes, or new ways of working
  • A reputation as a trusted talent partner, not a process follower; you help hiring managers think clearly, challenge assumptions, and make better decisions
  • Strong self-direction and organization; you manage pipelines, stakeholders, and time without needing constant oversight
  • Comfort using data to spot issues early, guide decisions, and communicate clearly
  • A positive, helpful presence for candidates, hiring managers, and teammates
  • You think beyond “req filled” and care deeply about how new hires ramp and perform in their first 90 days
  • Proactively partner with hiring managers to ensure role clarity, expectations, and readiness before a new hire starts
  • Surface early signals and feedback from new hires and use them to improve how roles are scoped, sold, and assessed
  • Willingness to travel 5–10% for company offsites
