About The Position

Simile is looking for a talented Technical Recruiter to partner with our Product Engineering, Applied Research, and Forward Deployed Engineering teams. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our organization by identifying, engaging, and hiring the best and brightest minds across a range of disciplines—from frontier AI researchers to engineers building the "simulator" for the world's most important decisions. As we continue to push the boundaries of foundation models, we need a passionate recruiter who can help us build a world-class team dedicated to modeling human behavior at the scale of an entire society.

Requirements

  • Experience: Have 5+ years of experience in full life cycle recruiting supporting core technical teams, ideally within high-growth AI startups or labs.
  • Technical Aptitude: Possess a strong ability to understand and evaluate qualifications in Python, data structures, and large-scale cloud infrastructure.
  • AI Fluency: Have experience partnering with engineers and hiring talent that work on GenAI, LLMs, and agentic workflows.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and enjoy navigating the evolving requirements of a frontier technology company.
  • Communication: Have excellent organizational skills and the ability to act as a bridge between complex research goals and practical hiring outcomes.
  • Mission-Driven: Have a passion for the potential of simulation to improve societal decision-making and a desire to build the team that makes it possible.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and execute strategic recruiting plans to identify, source, and hire highly qualified candidates, with a focus on Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Simulation talent.
  • Hiring Partnership: Partner with hiring managers and interviewers to understand specialized needs for roles like Forward Deployed Software Engineers, focusing on requirements like data pipeline proficiency and operational adaptability.
  • Process Innovation: Enhance and implement recruiting processes while maintaining an inclusive and high talent bar, ensuring we attract "Applied AI" leaders and entrepreneurial-minded engineers.
  • Brand Advocacy: Enhance Simile’s employer brand within the AI research and engineering communities to showcase our mission of architecting reality and our unique position as a world-class AI lab.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on recruiting best practices and emerging trends in the generative agent landscape to better evaluate technical qualifications.
  • Candidate Experience: Manage the end-to-end candidate lifecycle, ensuring a high-touch, rigorous, and transparent process that reflects Simile's commitment to technical excellence.
