About The Position

Waystar is seeking a skilled and collaborative Technical Recruiter to support hiring across our engineering, data, and technology organizations. In this role, you will manage full lifecycle recruiting for technical positions while acting as a trusted partner to hiring managers and business leaders. You will help shape recruiting strategy, deliver an exceptional candidate experience, and strengthen Waystar’s employer brand in the tech market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, values strong relationships, and is excited to recruit talent that powers innovative healthcare technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3+ years of experience recruiting for technical roles in technology, SaaS, or healthcare technology environments
  • Strong understanding of technical roles, skill sets, and hiring challenges within engineering and data teams
  • Proven ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities simultaneously
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, and organizational skills
  • Comfort working with hiring managers at varying levels, including senior leadership
  • Passion for creating a positive, inclusive candidate experience
  • Curiosity and willingness to leverage AI driven tools and innovative sourcing techniques to improve recruiting outcomes

Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle recruiting for technical roles, including software engineering, data science, machine learning, and technology leadership positions
  • Partner closely with hiring managers to understand team needs, role requirements, and ideal candidate profiles
  • Build and execute effective sourcing strategies using LinkedIn, GitHub, Stack Overflow, referrals, networking, and proactive outreach
  • Conduct recruiter screens to assess technical capability, communication skills, motivation, and culture alignment
  • Develop and maintain strong candidate pipelines for current and future technical hiring needs
  • Coordinate and facilitate interviews, ensuring a smooth and well organized experience for candidates and interview teams
  • Gather interview feedback and lead debrief discussions to support thoughtful and timely hiring decisions
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Waystar by representing our values, culture, and mission in every candidate interaction
  • Stay informed on market trends, compensation benchmarks, and competitive hiring practices within the tech space
  • Partner with compensation and HR to manage offers that are competitive, equitable, and aligned with market data
  • Support onboarding handoff to ensure a positive transition from candidate to new hire
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion by promoting inclusive hiring practices throughout the recruiting process
