About The Position

The Technical Project Manager supports the execution of production engineering initiatives that power VERSANT’s live broadcast, streaming, and media delivery systems. Reporting to the Senior Director of Platform Strategy and working closely with the Production Engineering team, this role is responsible for coordinating day-to-day project activities, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery across engineering and operations teams. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on execution, coordination, and follow-through. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to keep projects on track, manage dependencies, and ensure systems are ready for live environments where reliability and timing are critical.

Requirements

  • 3–6+ years of experience in project management, technical coordination, or delivery roles.
  • Experience supporting technical or production-related projects.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at the same time.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in media, broadcast, streaming, or live production environments.
  • Exposure to production systems such as playout, encoding, or media delivery workflows.
  • Experience working in fast-paced or time-sensitive environments (e.g., live events, operations).
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day execution of technical projects across production engineering and infrastructure teams.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, task tracking, and status reporting.
  • Track deliverables, dependencies, and milestones to ensure projects stay on schedule.
  • Coordinate across multiple teams to ensure work is progressing and blockers are resolved quickly.
  • Support projects related to broadcast systems, live production workflows, and media delivery platforms.
  • Work closely with engineers to track progress on system builds, upgrades, and deployments.
  • Help coordinate activities across systems such as playout, encoding, distribution, and real-time graphics.
  • Ensure project tasks align with operational requirements for live and near-live environments.
  • Manage projects and team coordination for live broadcasts, sports events, and breaking news coverage.
  • Track readiness tasks, timelines, and dependencies leading up to live events.
  • Coordinate across teams during critical windows to ensure all systems are ready and validated.
  • Identify project risks, delays, or blockers and escalate as needed.
  • Maintain clear tracking of issues, dependencies, and action items.
  • Follow through to ensure issues are resolved and do not impact delivery timelines.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, standups, and status updates.
  • Provide clear and consistent updates on progress, risks, and next steps.
  • Ensure alignment with change management and release processes to support stable production deployments.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation including plans, status reports, and meeting notes.
  • Track key metrics such as timelines, delivery status, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure visibility of project status across stakeholders.
