Technical Project Manager

FragomenOntario, CA

About The Position

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to drive coordination across multiple software engineering teams, ensuring requirements stay aligned and deliverables ship on time. You’ll serve as the connective tissue between engineering, product, and stakeholders—translating business goals into actionable plans and keeping complex, interdependent workstreams moving forward.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of project or program management experience in software development environments, with a demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Comfortable reading technical architecture documents, participating in design discussions, and understanding engineering trade-offs well enough to ask the right questions—even if you’re not writing code yourself.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or scaled frameworks like SAFe).
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, Linear, Confluence, or similar project tracking platforms.
  • Skilled at facilitating productive meetings, resolving cross-team blockers, and holding people accountable without relying on positional authority.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to translate technical complexity into clear updates for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a software engineer or in a hands-on technical role.
  • PMP, CSM, or similar certification.
  • Experience managing programs with distributed or remote teams.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, release management, or DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, track, and drive execution across several concurrent software engineering projects, managing dependencies between teams and identifying risks early.
  • Own the program-level roadmap, facilitate cross-team ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives), and ensure that requirements are clearly defined, understood, and consistent across all teams involved.
  • Work with engineering leads and product to evaluate impact and adjust timelines accordingly when scope changes or trade-offs arise.
  • Establish and maintain clear communication channels—keeping leadership informed through regular status reporting while shielding teams from unnecessary noise.
  • Utilize escalation paths, decision logs, and risk registers.

Benefits

  • All offers and/or employment contracts are contingent upon the successful completion of the Firm’s pre-employment screening process. This process may include verifying the candidate’s identity, confirming legal authorization to work in the offered position’s location, and conducting a comprehensive background check, where permitted by local regulations.

Applicants may have rights to information and explanations regarding the use of such tools, or request human review, as required by applicable regional laws.
