About The Position

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a major national laboratory. This role involves managing and ensuring the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects. The Technical Project Manager will establish technical requirements, define project deliverables, budgets, and schedules, and oversee the project team from initiation to completion. Projects are associated with the Line-Item Projects Project Controls program, requiring the candidate to produce specific products or provide services to meet customer requirements. The role also includes developing or maintaining processes to meet programmatic needs and produce defined work products. Responsibilities extend to cost analysis/control, planning, and scheduling activities for projects or programs with significant non-routine requirements, or for discipline/projects/programs/proposal cost and planning activities requiring a high degree of technical skilled experience. Ensuring work is completed as scheduled and identifying cost trends for management attention are key aspects. The customer can be an external body, such as a federal agency, or an internal organization within the Laboratory. Specific duties include supporting project scheduling using Primavera P6, including data quality checks, integration tasks, and schedule analysis, as well as supporting project cost management using Cobra and EVMS processes. Collaboration with stakeholders across technical and business domains to align solutions with project objectives is essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 8 years of experience; in lieu of a degree, additional relevant experience may be applicable
• U.S. Citizenship is required per contract
• Experience in Primavera P6, Cobra, and EVMS processes
• Experience in project controls within DOE/NNSA
• Strong communication skills across both technical and business contexts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous-improvement mindset
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Demonstrated initiative and independence—able to take a concept from idea to delivered product without heavy direction
• Demonstrated skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost and schedule guidance to projects and programs

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of DOE O 413.3B EVMS requirements is highly desirable
