About The Position

Derex Technologies Inc is seeking a Technical Project Manager with a development background to manage software development teams. The role involves leading Java programmers responsible for multiple enterprise application development projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming, agile methodologies, and project management standards, with strong communication and analytical skills.

Requirements

Experience in managing software development teams that develop enterprise applications in Java
Experience in programming – preferably Java or C++/C#
Experience leading staff using an agile methodology
Knowledge of project management standards and tools
Experience in project management
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with both the business community and the technical community
Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail

Nice To Haves

Must be from Development background
Experience in programming side – preferably Java or C++/C# or combination

Responsibilities

Provide project management for a team of Java programmers responsible for multiple projects.
Lead and mentor staff at the personnel and technical levels.
Provide assistance for analysis, design, testing, and implementation of new or existing systems.
Provide assistance for installation and/or implementation of new or existing purchased systems.
Create and maintain project plans for multiple projects your team is responsible for.
Provide assistance in resolving problems with existing systems by analyzing the problem or situation and deciding upon a course of action.
Research and evaluate new software systems.
Research and evaluate new tools to be used by developers to increase productivity.
Understand and insure that programming standards and policies are being implemented by your team.
Communicate with the users to determine problems or design requirements
Create a team environment in order to complete programming projects in a timely manner
Understand and ensure that all projects follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process
Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Application Development.
