About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join their team in San Diego, California. This role involves leading end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, milestones, and deliverables, coordinating cross-functional teams, and communicating with stakeholders. They will also track project progress, manage backlogs, resolve conflicts, and ensure the quality of deliverables. The role also involves guiding development teams towards higher scrum maturity and fostering a productive team environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience in a Project Management with strong focus on technology delivery
  • Minimum 5+ yrs of experience in Project Planning & Scheduling – Ability to create, manage, and track project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Minimum 5+ yrs of experience in Stakeholder Management, Risk & Issue Management
  • Minimum 5+ yrs of experience of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum and waterfall methodologies
  • Minimum 5+ yrs experience of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), APIs, integrations, and enterprise application architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices and project management tools such as MS Project, Azure DevOps etc.
  • Familiarity with software development
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field

Nice To Haves

  • PMP/Scrum master certification is a plus
  • ADO skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end planning, execution and delivery of technical projects ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Plan and manage project delivery by tracking scope, schedule, milestones, and deliverables
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure activities are aligned and dependencies are addressed
  • Manage stakeholder communication through regular updates, meetings, and expectation management
  • Track project progress and performance using dashboards, reports, and key metrics
  • Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g. from customers or stakeholders)
  • Work with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests
  • Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur
  • Help teams implement changes effectively
  • Ensure deliverables are up to quality stand
  • Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity
  • Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on it
