About The Position

Join Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization to help build some of the largest and most consequential enterprise and customer technology systems in the world. IS&T manages the massive systems and services that power Apple, from Apple ID to Apple’s website and data centers globally. It supports 2.5 billion active Apple devices and secures every transaction, download, and interaction. The AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) team, IS&T's engine for AI-powered innovation, brings together data, application development, machine learning (including generative AI), data services, and customer success functions to build solutions more efficiently and streamline the adoption and embedding of generative AI across Apple. We are looking for a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to orchestrate the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive significant business impact. This role involves working on new technologies and fast-paced application and platform development with a multidisciplinary team focused on the future of enterprise productivity. The TPM will play a crucial role within diverse engineering teams across multiple layers of the technology stack, as well as with critical cross-functional partners and business units. A profound technical understanding is paramount, as you will facilitate requirements brainstorming and design review sessions, providing challenging insights and architectural considerations to engineering discussions. Beyond comprehending functionalities, you are expected to contribute meaningfully to technical strategy and problem-solving. A strong user-centric mindset is essential; you will champion the user experience, challenging decisions and advocating for solutions that prioritize the best outcomes for our users.

Requirements

• 2+ years of managing programs, bringing multiple teams together marching towards common objectives
• BS in a business, project management or related field

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated technical acumen, capable of engaging in detailed discussions with engineers and researchers
• A foundational understanding or keen interest in Generative AI concepts; such as, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, agentic AI or efficient information access strategies
• One-plus years experience leading AI or ML programs in an enterprise environment
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their ML services
• Familiarity with Generative AI frameworks and libraries
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a high-stakes, fast-moving environment with efficiency, discretion, integrity, and confidentiality
• A self-motivated, independent, and proactive person with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
• Ability to quickly triage, prioritize, and lead under pressure
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, written and verbal, to all levels of an organization
