Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace or industrial engineering with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with 3D inspection software (PolyWorks, GOM)
  • Casting process expertise (Sand Casting, Investment Casting, Airfoils and Castings)
  • Proficient in project management tools and PLM
  • Requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supply chain technical projects from initiation to completion by managing project scope, budget, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Prepare and present the project business case to secure funding.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and provide regular project updates.
  • Identify and remove cross-functional barriers that create process or quality issues, and escalate to the appropriate leaders when obstacles threaten project progress.
  • Lead and perform supplier assessments (including on-site assessments, when required), with the support of a team as needed, and develop associated action plans.
  • Analyze part inspection reports and perform statistical analyses to assess manufacturing process capability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to improve part quality and develop inspection plans.
  • Promote the implementation of new technologies, such as 3D-printed sand cores and additive manufacturing processes for investment casting.
