This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of experts you will directly support site operations strategic initiatives by working with operations stakeholders and partners, to ensure commissioning of a process that meets cost and performance requirement for the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle. This position will support all aspects of project management to include cost, schedule, technical design, and risk management as well as working with company’s internal organizations and suppliers to transform the Rocket Park manufacturing campus. Requirements

  • Excellent written and communication skills in technical work environments
  • Experience in project management in a technical environment
  • Self-starter, strong bias for action
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and balancing internal and external schedules
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the design of aerospace electronic controls and fluids systems
  • Experience working with various fabrication, electrical, and fluids component vendors
  • Working familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and/or other team collaboration software tools

Responsibilities

  • Partner with contract manufacturers (suppliers), engineering hardware design teams, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, and program leadership to ensure the timely delivery of critical flight and R&D hardware including (but not limited to) budget, engineering schedules, procurement schedules, supplier schedules, and program management status reports.
  • Understand and communicate engineering and program requirements to suppliers and supplier capabilities to engineering teams and Blue management.
  • Plan and negotiate with suppliers and engineering design teams to meet program technical, schedule, and cost expectations.
  • Manage supplier performance to schedule, requirements, and cost goals.
  • Conduct meetings with suppliers to status performance, manage risks and resolve issues.
  • Communicate risks and risk abatement plans to management.
  • Drive and support supplier process development initiatives to improve how products are designed and manufactured
  • Transition products from concept, to development phase
  • Directly support the Rocket Park Site Operations Strategy team.
  • Apply technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.
